The prudent Citizens of Bangalore see danger and take refuge from it!

I applaud the Bangalore citizens for taking a firm stand in the preservation of their families by defending the roles of the fathers in their society.

It is shameful to witness the once-upon-a-time great nation of the United States of America being crippled by the weight of fatherless families it has shamefully created – or at least tolerate.  U.S. citizens cowardly allow corrupt politicians and family courts to remove the fathers from their homes thus causing millions of single mothers to seek public assistance to provide for the children while the U.S. Government shamefully turns to foreign debts to finance their ever increasing public welfare system.

Time, Loneliness and Solitude

There is time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

- A time for sadness and a time for joy …

- A time for “loneliness” to express the pain of being alone.

- A time for “solitude” to express the glory of being alone.

The monotony of a quiet life can be opportunity to stimulate the creative mind to prepare for the next season. To try to understand which time has come is WISDOM.  To engage into activities that make good use facts and information of the current time is KNOWLEDGE – or the application thereof.  To use wisdom and knowledge to prepare for the next season is GLORY.  This is every man’s personal journey.

Do you feel lost today? Lonely?

Perhaps, you are leading a too busy life to find time to consider the above questions. And you just don’t wanna know!

Happy Mothers Day!

All day – on Mother’s Day, I was looking for Beautiful Wishes for mothers.  I could not find anything good enough, until I realized that all mothers are working mothers and being a full-time mom, they have one of the highest salaried jobs in the world, since the payment is pure love.

Flowers are used to send coded-messages to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken.

Flowers are used to send coded-messages to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken.

I understand then why we offer flowers to mothers on Mother’s day.  Flowers are used to send coded-messages to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken.  It explains why I could not find words that are good enough to thank, honor and to celebrate my mother and many other mothers who we must celebrate today.  Flowers and prayers then are all that is necessary to thank, to express pure love, to honor and to celebrate mothers in this especial day, all week long and always!

The dignity of Motherhood is a virtue that we must celebrate today, all week long and always!

It must go harmoniously and in unity with Fatherhood and together – while completing each other – to protect the growth and the healthy development of the children.

It is only in this mindset our society will prosper in love, peace and in unity.

Honoring parents is above all a divine principle that is popularly known as the Fourth Commandment in Catholic teaching and as the Fifth Commandment in Jewish, Anglican and Orthodox teaching.  It is one of the more reasons, this day is very special – and divine!

My Favorite Movies

- “What’s your favorite movie?”

People often ask or hear that question all the time.  Even in movies, actors ask other actors about their favorite movies.  I usually say to myself that if I was in a movie and another actor asks me: ‘what is my favorite movie’, I would answer ‘The movie that we are in now!’  Funny! Isn’t it?

Why do people want to know that?

At a recent meeting on matters related to Haiti’s 2010 Earthquakes, I met with other professionals that I’ve not met before.  One of the participants asked me such a question during a short break.  I was not quite prepared for such a question and especially in the context we were in. Who would think that someone would ask such a question during an encounter after our country has been partially destroyed with a devastating earthquake that took the life of close to 300, 000 humans, displaced hundreds of thousands of others and left thousands of widows, motherless and fatherless?

The most embarrassing part of it was that the question was asked in a group. I felt suddenly taken out of my comfort zone.  I was afraid not to make a fool of myself.

Councils of Dads

The inspiring story of a father.
"The Councils of Dads" book by Bruce Feiler
“The Councils of Dads” book by Bruce Feiler

It is a story that I confidently encourage everyone, my friends, family and web visitors and subscribers to learn about and share. Fortunately, with technological progress – and thanks to Bruce and his team – we have today the opportunity to read, listen and view all about it.

Bestselling author Bruce Feiler was a young father when he was diagnosed with cancer. Worried about his daughters, he asked six men to form a “Council of Dads” to help guide them through their lives. This site is designed to help you do the same, whether you’re sick or well, male or female. Reach out to your friends. You’ll be glad you did!
